Re: Hartford Municipal Arena
We are pleased to announce that the Hartford Municipal will open for the
season Wednesday, November 12, 2008.
Please notify us immediately if you're going to resume your scheduled
contracted time or if you plan to use the 5 day grace period. As
previously
stated, all contracted groups will have a 5 day grace period to return
to
their contracted schedule. This 5 day grace period expires at the close
of
business Sunday, November 16th. If we do not hear from you within 5
days
you will be billed accordingly for your contracted rental times.
Again, thank you for your patience and cooperation as we repaired the
Hartford Municipal Arena.

We have encountered a serious setback at the Arena.
We cannot predict an
opening date, therefore the rink remains closed indefinitely. We will
share updates with you as soon as they become available.
We are disappointed with the delay and realize the inconvenience this has
caused our rental groups and patrons.

Davis Mechanical arrived October 27th to begin work on the HMA; their work
is in progress. Because this is slow work we cannot predict an opening
date, therefore the rink remains closed indefinitely. We will share
updates
with you as soon as they become available.
In the event your group wishes to purchase ice time elsewhere the week of
October 27th, and you currently have an ice rental contract with the
Hartford Parks and Recreation Department, we will not hold you to the
contract until we are operating.
We are sorry for this inconvenience, and appreciate your patience as we
work diligently to complete repairs.

HMA is closed indefinitely due to ongoing floor circulation repairs. A
work crew is
scheduled to arrive October 27th, and you will receive an update October 28th.
